About the Club
Marsh Rodders Formation
At a meeting of like minded rev heads held at Bill Wadeson's house in Bacchus Marsh, Australia, back in 1985, it was decided to form a club to be known as the ‘Bacchus Marsh Performance Car Club’. The name was a compromise as we had hotrods, customs and street machines.
The founding members were; Bill Wadeson, David Seelenmeyer, Danny Despirit, Hayden Ivers and Kelvin Dale. The initial membership consisted of approximately 15 people and has grown to almost 60 over the last 30 years.
Since the club's inception only 2 of the original founding members have held continuous tenure - Bill Wadeson and Kelvin Dale.
During the late ‘80s the name was changed to ‘The Marsh Rod and Custom Club’ to more accurately reflect the members cars.
The ‘Border Inn Hotel’ was the original meeting place, followed by the ‘Royal Hotel’ and currently we meet in a barn shed at ‘Bacchus Marsh Redgum Supplies’.
The club is a registered member of the Australian Street Rod Federation (ASRF) and has been so since the early ‘90s.
